About Me

My name is Richard Fineman. I am a PhD student studying medical engineering, an amateur triathlete, and a yoga instructor/yogi currently living and training in Cambridge, MA. After swimming for four years at Columbia, I decided that I no longer wanted to constantly stare at a black line while exercising, so I quickly transitioned to triathlon. After starting graduate school, I decided that three modalities of exercise wasn't enough and added yoga into the mix to "balance" things out. In this blog, I will write tidbits about my life in grad school, as a triathlete and share how yoga has helped to keep me sane during all this. I will also share a few helpful yoga tips for runners, bikers, swimmers, and triathletes that I have picked up to speed up my recovery and get me race day ready.
